Our Functional Protein Engineering Laboratory (FPEL) focuses on 1) design and engineering of therapeutic proteins and biocatalysts to improve human health and to secure sustainable energy, 2) design of polymer- or protein-based drug delivery vehicles, and 3) design of biosorbents for recovery of rare earth elements.
